Back To Gallery - Skin Cancer
Description:
This patient had a history of skin cancer when she came to me with a depressed lesion on the tip of her nose. Biopsies showed basal cell carcinoma. We excised the lesion in the operating room so the patient could receive sedation. A pathologist checked the lesion to make sure all of it was removed prior to reconstruction. We reconstructed her nasal tip skin using a bilobe flap. Bilobe flaps allow us to reconstruct medium-sized nasal defects by rotating skin from elsewhere on the nose. Her postoperative photos were taken a month after her surgery. No revision procedures were performed.
